The SR. Marketing Manager supports the VP of Marketing and the Marketing team in global campaign development & execution, regional (Americas) wholesale partner-specific marketing, ecomm, public relations, & social media. Activities include seasonal campaign development, photo shoot production, and launch / event planning. The goal of this role will be to create relevance, brand heat and demand within the industry and our consumers primarily via 360 campaigns, public relations and social media. The role will also create, update, improve on processes to create best practices for the Corporate office, as well as a template for global regions (APAC, EMEA, China). The Sr. Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of strategic marketing plans for major initiatives, implementing activation across accounts and global markets, and leads a synergistic global go-to-market approach. The outcome is geared toward maximizing sales growth and deepening the consumer’s awareness of and affinity for the brand’s product offering.
Develops and executes the Brand Marketing Plans in partnership with the VP of Marketing driving consistent brand strategy for the US and Global Markets
Leverages consumer insights to develop strategy, informing creative briefs and ensuring the brand voice is consistent across all marketing mediums
Ensure global consistency of the marketing strategy by regular communication with the EMEA and Asia marketing teams
Collaborate & build strong inter-department and cross-functional relationships between internal teams to drive seamless brand product and marketing integration, and ensure the global positioning are well-defined & deliver a consistent brand message.
Partner with DTC/ecomm to ensure that kswiss.com is the best expression of the brand; communicate and provide key product story content; including timing, brand storytelling assets & messaging
Manage the creative brief process for seasonal campaigns to develop category story positioning; manage integrated category content, asset needs & timelines
Partner with external creative agencies to deliver against briefs, using all elements of the marketing mix, to increase brand awareness, drive sell-in and to stimulate sell-through
Drive the development of seasonal sell-in and sell-thru toolkits for global product marketing stories; responsible for distributing to global partners for execution in regional markets
Create marketing strategies in partnership with sales team to elevate the brand and drive the business, establish brand credibility, and accelerate growth within specific strategic wholesale accounts
Management and development of Marketing Manager to ensure brand support, positioning, demand is created by wholesale partners (Footlocker, Journeys, DSW, etc., Collaborations (regional/global)
Management and development of the Marketing Coordinator; weekly catch ups, support & direction of achieving goals & objectives
Oversee department calendar updates, management and scheduling of weekly calls with regions. Monthly/quarterly updates for the company (i.e, K-Swiss Internal Portal, company newsletter, etc.)
Public Relations / Social Media / Influencer Marketing
Work with Public Relations team to maximize opportunities within seasonal campaigns, collaborations, brand highlights, and the executive team
Work with the Social Media team to provide assets & content for K-Swiss’ social channels and participate in planning future content and storytelling, including product seeding programs, influencers & celebrities to gain editorial & social coverage
Work with VP of Marketing, Public Relations, Social Media, and DTC/ecomm regarding Influencer Marketing opportunities to increase sales and maximize brand awareness.
A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a marketing position in a mid-size to large company
Experience in the footwear industry, a plus
Great project management skills, able to create project plans and manage deadlines
Self-motivated – proven track record for developing & executing new initiatives
Passionate and entrepreneurial spirit
Team player, able to work with diverse personalities
Comfortable in fast-changing, fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Solid written communication skills and demonstrated high comfort level with public speaking and presenting to small and large groups
Solid understanding of global markets
