BLM K-Swiss Logo/ Black and White Logo

To our customers, employees, partners and community,

K-Swiss is committed to creating tangible programs to lend our voice, energy and resources to anti-racism. We stand in support of the Black community and we will continue our work to create positive change. In the conversations we’ve had with friends and members of the Black community over the past few days, we have heard some clear needs and identified ways we can contribute.

First, we’re educating ourselves and others through knowledge sharing. Second, we will provide a platform for the voices of those discriminated against to be heard. And third, we will expand our position as a brand and employer to educate and inspire Black youth about career paths in the footwear industry. We commit to teaching and mentoring to help build knowledge and skills. We commit to creating more job opportunities in our industry.

'Black Voices' Podcast Series

This 5-part series interviews notable people from within the Black community. They share their experiences, reactions, thoughts on the current racial unrest and the best way forward. We will also hear about their careers and learn how they’ve persevered and thrived, with a goal to inspire others to reach the same heights and success.

K-Swiss Radio presents: Black Voices Friday, June 12th at 12pm PST, Donye Taylor @donyetaylor Co-CEO of the digital footprint

Inspire Youth Program

K-Swiss has partnered with A Place Called Home, an organization in South Central Los Angeles that delivers educational and artistic programs, counseling and mentorship to minority youth ages eight to mid-twenties and their families. Partnering with APCH, K-Swiss will host groups of 20-30 at-risk kids of high school age, each quarter, at our global HQ in Downtown Los Angeles. The goal is to educate and inspire them about their career potential in the footwear and fashion industry, educating them about each functional business area while setting creative projects to bring the lessons to life.

Black Talent Mentorship Program

K-Swiss will work with The Digital Footprint, a Black-owned marketing agency, to create a mentorship program at K-Swiss. Our goal is to identify 50 talented Black, LA locals and to mentor them in career pathing, job preparation and work skills. Through a series of events and regular communication with the K-Swiss internal team, this program aims to inspire and educate while also creating a talent pool for employment opportunities at K-Swiss and other LA-area footwear and fashion companies.

Stay tuned for application dates.
